Customer Environment​ Checks

Proper Installation Space?
In the installation area, the space will need to accommodate the unit that is 33 5/8in High and 24in Wide, and 24in Deep. Allow at least 0.1in of clearance on both sides.

Proper Floor Condition?
Is the floor sturdy and level? To minimize noise and vibration, install the Dishwasher on a level, solidly constructed floor capable of supporting the unit without flexing or bouncing. Installing on carpet or soft tile is not recommended.

Hot Water Supply Available?
Make sure the customers water supply can supply 20-80PSI to the unit. LG recommends the water supply be within 12ft of the installation space.

Proper Access to Power?
The Dishwasher needs a dedicated grounded power supply of 120Vac +/-10% 15A. Some units may have a power cord others will have a junction box that will need to be wired directly to power.

Drain available?
The sink drain or garbage disposal is typically used to drain into. Ensure a proper drain location is available within 12ft of the dishwasher installation area.

Before Installation​ Checks
  • Ensure all external shipping material has been removed from the unit.
  • Verify that the unit is free from dents/scratches/other cosmetic imperfections
  • Before moving the washer, ensure it can pass through all doorways and narrow openings.
Installation​ Check​s
  • Ensure the unit is properly connected to the 120Vac outlet/power supply. It is not recommended to use a power strip or add other appliances to the outlet.
  • Check to make sure the water line connections are properly installed, leak free, and that the supply water shutoff valve is in the open position.
  • Correct Water Temperature Supplied? Supplied Water Temperature should be between 120°F (49°C) and 149°F (65°C). This temperature range provides the best washing/drying results and shortest cycle time. The temperature should not exceed 149°F (65°C) to prevent damage to dishes.
  • Make sure the drain hose is properly installed into the sink drain or garbage disposal. Note: If installed into a garbage disposal, ensure the knockout plug has been removed before attaching the drain hose.
  • Properly Level the unit. For the dishwasher to function properly it is critical that it is properly leveled from front to back and side to side.
  • Check for Proper Cabinet Installation. Ensure the dishwasher is properly installed to the cabinet using the supplied brackets or mounting locations.
  • Check Rack Operation. Once unit has been leveled and secured to the cabinet, open the door and move the racks in/out to ensure they glide smoothly.
Post Installation Check​s
  • Make sure the unit is powered on. (Display and lights should be functional)
  • Run Test Mode before leaving the home. Check for leaks & abnormal noises during Test Mode to validate all components are functioning properly.
