Installation Check
Do you need to verify a cooktop was installed properly? Review the lists below for items we recommend you check.

Proper Installation Space?
The unit is designed to be installed in a countertop cutout. Do not use any caulking, or sealant, the unit must be removable for service. Space between the cooktop and any oven or drawer beneath it should be 2 ¾”. Make sure the surrounding areas of the cooktop, counter cabinets, can withstand temperatures up to 93°C (200F°)
Proper Access to Power?
The unit must be hard wired into the home wiring through a junction box, using a plug and receptacle is not allowed on cooktops.
Proper Power Supply?
Ensure the power supplied is 208/240Vac +/- 10% to the unit and is on a dedicated 40~50 Amp Circuit.
Before Installation Checks
- Ensure all shipping material has been removed from the unit.
- Verify that the unit is free from dents/scratches/other cosmetic imperfections.
Installation Checks
- Ensure the unit is properly wired at the junction box, using either 3 wire or 4 wire power, per the specific application.
- Ensure the junction box is properly installed. The junction box should be properly secured to the cabinet, strain reliefs in place, and cover properly installed.
- Make sure the cooktop is properly secured in the cabinet. The retainer brackets and bolts must be installed to meet local codes.
Post Installation Checks
- Make sure the unit is powered on. (Display should be functional)
- Do the cooktop elements all energize and heat? Turn on all cooktop elements and verify that they do heat up before leaving the home.
