Electric Range
Installation Check
Do you need to verify a range was installed properly? Review the lists below for items we recommend you check.
Proper Installation Space?
In the installation area, the space will need to accommodate the unit that is 36in High and 29 7/8in Wide, and 29in Deep. Allow at least 0.1in of clearance on both sides. Make sure wall coverings, countertops and cabinets around the range can withstand the heat (up to 194°F) generated by the range.
Proper Floor Condition?
Is the floor sturdy and level? Install the Range on a level, solidly constructed floor capable of supporting the unit without flexing. Installing on carpet or soft tile is not recommended. Before installing the range in an area covered with linoleum or other synthetic floor covering, make sure the floor covering can withstand temperatures of at least 200°F.
Proper Access to Power?
The range needs a dedicated grounded power supply of 208/240Vac +/-10% 40~50A. The range should always be plugged into its own individual properly grounded electrical outlet.
- Ensure all external shipping material has been removed from the unit.
- Verify that the unit is free from dents/scratches/other cosmetic imperfections
- Before moving the washer, ensure it can pass through all doorways and narrow openings.
- Ensure the unit is properly wired at the terminal block, use either 3 wire or 4 wire power cord per your application. Terminal block screws should be tight; strain relief should be installed.
- Properly Level the unit. Place a level diagonally on the oven rack and check each direction for level. If the level doesn’t show that the rack is level, adjust the leveling legs with a wrench.
- Is the anti-tip bracket installed? To reduce the risk of tipping, the appliance must be secured by a properly installed anti-tip device.
- Make sure the unit is powered on. (Display and lights should be functional)
- Do the cooktop elements all energize and heat? Turn on all cooktop elements and verify that they do heat up before leaving the home.
- Do the elements inside the oven all energize and heat? Verify that the oven elements are all operational before leaving the home.
